Mint Seeds
The Best for Making Mint Tea.
The favourite mint to cook with peas and new potatoes and for sauces, desserts and iced drinks.
It has blue flowers and (allegedly) the magical powers of healing, love and mental powers!
Growing herbs from seed is so easy. Grow them in the border among your flowers, in a special herb bed, or simply in pots by the back door. You can even grow them on your kitchen windowsill. They are easy to dry and even easier to freeze.

Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in warmth 15-20°C(60-70°F), and keep moist.

Growing on / thinning
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from bright sun. When large enough to handle, transplant into 8cm (3in) pots allowing 3 or 4 seedlings per pot.

Hardening off / planting
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out from April onwards. Allow 30cm (12in) between each group of plants.

Special note
To restrict its spreading tendancy, mint can also be grown in pots.
